MK Teen Academy is a residential treatment center specializing in substance use and mental health care for adolescent males. The program provides a safe, highly structured environment where teen bo
ys can stabilize, heal, and develop the skills needed for long-term growth. Treating concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, and suicidality to alcohol and drug addiction, MK Teen Academy offers 30–90 days of compassionate residential care designed to support both emotional and physical wellbeing. Using evidence-based clinical approaches tailored to each young man, the team works closely with families to guide them through treatment with clarity, consistency, and hope. In addition to adolescent care, the program also offers residential treatment options for adults.
Emotional Growth Through Personalized, Evidence-Based Care
Treatment at MK Teen Academy focuses on the whole person—mind, body, and emotional health—through a balanced blend of therapy, academics, and structured daily routines. Each teen participates in individual, group, and family therapy sessions, supported by proven clinical modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Treatment plans are carefully customized to address each adolescent’s specific challenges, strengths, and developmental needs. Families are actively involved throughout the process, receiving guidance, education, and tools to support healing both during treatment and after discharge.
A Supportive Home Designed for Teen Boys
Located just outside Los Angeles, MK Teen Academy offers a warm, welcoming residence surrounded by horses, open space, and scenic hiking trails. The intimate setting—serving a maximum of six clients at a time with 2–3 staff members per teen—allows for attentive, personalized support in a secure environment where all staff undergo thorough background checks. Teens stay in private or shared en-suite bedrooms that are fully furnished with large beds, flat-screen TVs, and walk-in closets. On-site amenities include a recreation room with billiards and a full arcade, as well as a gym offering boxing and yoga instruction. This thoughtfully designed environment helps teen boys feel safe, grounded, and supported as they work toward lasting change.
