Since 2010, Paradigm Treatment has provided residential mental health care for adolescents ages 12–17. Their experienced medical and clinical teams work to uncover and address the root causes of th

the challenges teens face in today’s high-pressure world. Paradigm treats anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood and personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use, partnering closely with both teens and their families throughout the healing process.

Clients receive an exceptional level of individualized care, including four individual therapy sessions each week, along with consistent group and family therapy. Academic coordinators support educational continuity so students can successfully return to school after treatment. Experiential therapies—such as yoga, meditation, and equine therapy—further empower teens to build confidence, resilience, and lasting change. Paradigm Treatment is recognized by The Joint Commission, the state of California, and multiple insurance providers.

Paradigm’s four thoughtfully designed Malibu residences offer a warm, welcoming environment paired with top-tier clinical care. Located just blocks from the ocean, the homes allow for restorative beach walks and outdoor experiences that enhance healing. Each residence serves no more than six clients at a time, ensuring an intimate, highly personalized treatment experience.

Treatment begins with comprehensive psychological, physical, and nutritional assessments to fully understand each teen’s needs. Paradigm’s accredited and dedicated staff guide adolescents through mental health challenges and light to moderate substance use concerns with professionalism, empathy, and unwavering support.

Time to Heal, Learn, and Grow

Paradigm’s 30–90 day residential program allows teens the time and structure needed to stabilize, heal, and develop essential life skills. Clinical treatment is balanced with experiential and recreational activities such as swimming, surfing, horseback riding, and relaxation in the hot tub.

During the school year, academic collaboration supports continuity with home schools. The program dedicates three hours per day, five days per week, to academics—helping students stay engaged in learning while prioritizing mental health.

Paradigm offers a rich blend of therapeutic services and amenities that make treatment both effective and engaging. Their strengths-based, individualized approach gives each teen the tools needed to succeed long after treatment ends. Families and clients continue to receive aftercare support for up to three years, allowing recovery to fully integrate into everyday life and providing reassurance during critical transition periods.
